Ireland Imposes Visa Requirements for Citizens of Three Countries

Ireland has introduced new visa requirements for passport holders from Nicaragua, St. Kitts and Nevis, and St. Lucia. Travelers from these countries must now obtain a visa prior to traveling to Ireland.

The new requirement applies to both visits and transit. Travelers passing through Irish airports on their way to another destination must also obtain an Irish transit visa before departure.

Irish officials stated that the measure brings Ireland into closer alignment with immigration policies in the United Kingdom and the Schengen Area. The update follows similar visa restrictions introduced for several other nationalities over the past year.
