United States Announces Revised Visa Reciprocity Policy for Nigeria, Limiting New Visas to Single-Entry Three-Month Validity

The U.S. Department of State announced updates to its reciprocal non-immigrant visa policy affecting Nigeria and several other countries.

Effective immediately, most new non-immigrant and non-diplomatic visas issued to Nigerian citizens will be single-entry and valid for three months.

Visas issued before July 8, 2025 will retain their original status and validity, and the policy remains subject to future review.

Nigerian travelers are advised to follow the terms of their visas and ensure their travel documents are authentic.
