Cameroon fully digitized its visa process on 30 April 2023, and the e-Visa now works as a two-step document rather than a single approval. You apply online and receive a PDF authorization, which you print and hand to your airline at check-in and then to immigration on arrival, at which point a definitive visa is actually stamped into your passport. Authorities can restrict the visa to a single entry and reduce the length of stay below the 180 days that sometimes gets quoted as a maximum, so treat the figure on your specific approval as the one that counts, not a general number from a guide.
Citizens of several neighboring and nearby countries are exempted from needing a visa at all, Chad, the Central African Republic, Nigeria, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and Mali, with the Nigeria and Mali exemptions limited to ordinary passport holders. A yellow fever vaccination booklet is mandatory for every arrival.
