Equatorial Guinea does not offer a visa on arrival anywhere, Malabo, Bata, or the land borders with Cameroon and Gabon, every nationality needs advance authorization, either an e-Visa or a traditional embassy visa. The e-Visa, introduced in mid-2023 and open to every nationality, is approved within one to three days for a 75 US dollar processing fee, but it only works for arrivals through Malabo International Airport specifically, and the application wants a full set of documents, a passport with at least six months validity, a recent photo, a yellow fever vaccination certificate, polio vaccination documentation, an accommodation confirmation or invitation letter, and proof of return or onward tickets.
Citizens of CEMAC member states and a short list of other neighboring countries can enter without a visa at all. For everyone applying the standard way, the yellow fever vaccine needs to have been given at least 10 days before arrival, not just at some point in the past.

The only entry point where the e-Visa is honored, so an arrival plan built around it needs to land here specifically, not at Bata or a land crossing.
- Bata and the land borders with Cameroon and Gabon
No visa on arrival exists at any of these either, so a traveler still needs the e-Visa or embassy visa arranged before reaching any of them.
- CEMAC visa free entry
Citizens of fellow CEMAC states and some neighboring countries skip the visa process entirely, reflecting the same regional bloc arrangement that shows up in Gabon and Cameroon's own entry rules.
