Saint Kitts and Nevis added a real new step on 26 May 2025: an Electronic Travel Authorisation, required for citizens of certain countries before they even start their journey, a single entry eTA costing 17 US dollars and valid for 90 days. Beyond that, most visitors, including from the Schengen Area and the UK, still enter without a visa for tourism, and a passport needs at least six months of validity beyond your planned departure date, the standard regional rule.
The country is also widely known as one of the longest running citizenship by investment programs in the world, introduced in 1984 and, by 2015, the most popular route of its kind globally, a detail that shapes the country's broader international reputation more than it affects an ordinary tourist's entry process, but worth knowing as background.
