Liberia shifted most of its visa process online starting in 2023, and the visa on arrival option now has to be arranged before you fly, not decided at the airport. Travelers pre-apply for the Visa on Arrival online, and it is currently available only at Roberts International Airport in Monrovia, nowhere else. Fees for Liberian visas generally run from about 50 to 160 US dollars depending on the type and length, and every visitor not from a visa exempt country needs either that pre-approved eVisa or a visa from a Liberian diplomatic mission, a passport valid for at least six months is required regardless of route.
Yellow fever vaccination proof is required specifically for travelers arriving from countries where yellow fever is a risk, the ICVP or yellow card, and arriving without it when it is required can mean being denied entry outright, not just a fine or a delay.
