Madagascar's visa prices went up in 2026, and old blog posts still quote the cheap ones. A 15 day visa on arrival cost 10 euros or dollars for many years, and in 2026 it rose to 25 euros and then 30. The e-Visa, reactivated around April 2023, was priced at 10 dollars for 15 days, 37 for 30 days, 45 for 60 days, and 55 for 90 days until January 2026, and in February 2026 fees increased substantially, especially for the 15 day stay.
Citizens of all countries except Palestine can get a visa on arrival or an e-Visa, and tourist visas are valid for up to 90 days. The visa on arrival is issued at Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo and at the other airports with international connections, including Antsiranana, Toamasina, and Tuléar. A passport must be valid for at least six months from entry and have at least three blank pages, and proof of yellow fever vaccination is needed only if you have been in an endemic country within the last six months.

Madagascar has no land border. The visa on arrival is available at Ivato and the other international airports, and the same visa policy applies at every entry point.
