Instead, Israel's real consequence structure escalates by entry ban length: roughly a 2 year re-entry waiting period for an unlawful stay of 30 days to 1 year followed by voluntary departure, rising to 5 years for an unlawful stay beyond 1 year, 5 years also for a border refusal of entry, and up to 10 years following formal deportation; a B-1 work visa holder faces a separate 1 year cooling off period. Not every case receives the same treatment, exceptions apply based on individual circumstances
Currency limits
Declare cash above NIS 50,000 combined cash and monetary instruments at the airport, or NIS 12,000 specifically when crossing a land border, a real, lower threshold at land crossings, declared using Customs Form 84.
Extension
Apply before the current authorized stay expires, through the Population and Immigration Authority, typically granted for a further 90 days; the passport must remain valid at least 6 months beyond the date of the requested extension

Passport validity has a real, narrower official rule specifically for ETA-IL exempt travelers, only 3 months beyond the date of arrival, not the 6 months commonly required in practice by airlines at check-in as a safety margin, the same kind of genuine official-vs-practical distinction Japan's own row already established earlier in this project
