Voluntarily reporting to the Immigration Department before being caught can reduce the penalty, and deportation with a re-entry ban is also possible
Currency limits
Declare cash above BND 15,000 (or equivalent) for physical currency and bearer negotiable instruments combined, confirmed directly by Brunei Darussalam Central Bank, declared to a Customs Officer on arrival or an Immigration Officer before departure.
Extension
Apply in person at the Visa, Visit and Diplomatic Division, National Immigration and Registration Headquarters, or a branch office, before the current pass expires; approval and the number of additional days granted are at the discretion of the immigration officer, not guaranteed
