Check with the embassy for overstay penalties.Overstaying is an offence under the Immigration Act, Chapter 17, typically punished with a fine in the range of BND 1,000 to 5,000 and up to 3 months imprisonment for an ordinary case; caning may additionally be imposed, particularly for repeat or aggravated offences. Voluntarily reporting to the Immigration Department before being caught can reduce the penalty, and deportation with a re-entry ban is also possible
