Belarus has extended visa free entry for citizens of 38 European countries through 31 December 2026, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Vatican, the UK, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Germany, Croatia, Czechia, Switzerland, Sweden, and Estonia, with a standard 30 day stay per visit. Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia get a longer 90 days per entry, along with holders of Latvia's non-citizen status.
For everyone outside that list, Belarus runs an e-Visa for holders of ordinary passports from 68 countries, including the US, Canada, the EU, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the UK, issued for up to 30 days and usable through all international checkpoints, Minsk National Airport included. Land travel between Belarus and its EU neighbors has been affected by years of tension over the migrant crisis and the broader political situation, so a border that worked for a trip a year or two ago is not something to assume is still open the same way, check the current crossing status close to your travel date rather than relying on an older itinerary.
