Ghana introduced its official e-Visa portal in May 2026, and the price you will see depends on who you are. Citizens of ECOWAS states and other African Union members can enter visa free, as can citizens of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, and a free 90 day electronic travel authorization is available to visitors from certain non-African countries, including Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Singapore. For most others, a visa is required, processed in about 96 hours through the e-Visa system, with a single entry visa valid for 90 days from issue.

The fees are the messy part. One summary lists 260 US dollars for a single entry and 468 for multiple entry, while several visa guides quote 150 and 200, and fees for some nationalities differ, so read the amount on the official portal at evisa.immigration.gov.gh before you pay anything. Citizens of the United Arab Emirates can get a 90 day visa on arrival.

The requirement no one should skip is the yellow fever certificate. Proof of vaccination is required at the port of entry, guides say for travelers aged nine months or older, and the certificate should be valid for at least six months beyond arrival, along with a passport valid for at least six months beyond your stay.
